Windsor app helps with wait times

Clinic Seeker is an online platform and smartphone app that helps delivers real time info on wait times in emergency rooms, clinics and hospitals to Canadians.
Lisa Jacobs, co-founder of the application, works in the medical industry and believes that it helps users make the best choice in case of an emergency.
“The app gives you with the closest walk-in clinics, urgent care clinics and emergency rooms,” said Jacobs.
The app can also provides information for on-site services such as x-rays.
“If somebody rolls their ankle and goes to an emergency room, they may have to wait there for hours,” said Jacobs. “The app tells us the information about how crowded the emergency rooms are and all the wait times as well.”
The app supports both Android and iOs operating system. The app can be downloaded from the Google Playstore and Apple store for free.
Clinic Seeker detects a user’s location and helps them find the nearest clinic or hospital in case of an emergency. The app shows hours of operation, directions and wait times which are all user-submitted.
The app can be used in all of Ontario, not just Windsor.
The Clinic Seeker app has received support from Essex-Windsor EMS and Windsor Regional Hospital.
