An accidental fire caused approximately $70,000 in damages to a south Windsor residence Sunday.

Windsor Fire and Rescue Service arrived to the 900 block of Kennedy Drive West around 5 a.m. and were able to extinguish the blaze. No residents were injured.

According to Fire Prevention Officer John Lee, the fire was a result of electrical failure of a basement dehumidifier.
