The 14th Windsor International Film Festival (WIFF) kicks off Monday with a rich offering of 143 films, features, shorts and documentaries.
“We are very pleased to present these films, not only for the Windsor audience, but also, in many cases, weeks, months and sometimes even years before their launch in their respective countries,” said Vincent Georgie, WIFF Executive Director and Chief programmer.
Georgie said the popular festival is drawing more and more film buffs from across the province.
“In terms of our audience, we’re hearing much more from the whole province,” said Georgie. “That’s very clear to us in inquiries we get and confirmations from hotels in the area and that type of thing. It’s turning into much more of a provincial festival, that’s no question.”
