Windsor man arrested in drug investigation
The Windsor Police Drugs and Guns Unit (DIGS) was put to work over the weekend, taking part in drug trafficking investigations at two locations in the city.
At the property located in the 6500 block of Tecumseh Road East, a male suspect was located and arrested without incident.

Police also searched another location, a residence located in the 1300 block of Jessop Street. A significant amount of suspected fentanyl and cocaine was seized. Thorough investigation, police also seized a quantity of Canadian currency.
Michael Bernard, a 39-year-old man from Windsor, is charged with:
- Possession of suspected fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of suspected fentanyl
- Possession of suspected cocaine
Due to the nature of the investigation and the involvement of multiple locations, the DIGS unit was assisted by several other units including the Emergency Services Unit, the Criminal Investigations Unit, the K-9 Unit, the Traffic Unit, and Patrol Units.
