Windsor Police arrest three impaired drivers

Over the course of eight hours, the Windsor Police Service has detained three motorists for driving under the influence.

On April 14, around 8 p.m., officers responded to a single-vehicle collision on County Rd. 17.

The driver, a 40-year-old male, was found in a ditch and showed signs of impairment, including slurred speech and a strong smell of alcohol.

He was arrested for impaired driving and taken to the police headquarters, where he refused a breath test.

Around two hours later, officers responded to a parking lot on Walker Rd where a suspected impaired driver had stopped with vehicle damage.

The driver, a 53-year-old female, exhibited signs of impairment, including a strong smell of alcohol and unsteadiness.

She was arrested for impaired driving and taken to police headquarters, where she failed a breath test.

At around 4 a.m. on April 15, officers responded to a single-vehicle collision on Cameron Ave.

The driver, a 34-year-old male, showed signs of impairment, with a strong smell of alcohol and uncooperative behavior. He was arrested for impaired driving and taken to police headquarters for testing.
