Windsor Police conducted R.I.D.E. program at St. Patrick’s Day
Windsor Traffic Enforcement Unit organized a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) for St. Patrick’s Day on March 17.
Officials used five locations to set up their check points through Windsor and Amherstburg to reduce impaired driving.
Police Officials checked 817 vehicles, conducted 38 roadside tests and had one impaired driving arrest.
This week is National Impaired Driving Prevention Week, a campaign aimed towards making our roads the safest in the world.
Officials suggest not to drive any vehicle when you’re impaired. If you consume any drugs or alcohol try to use public transportation or use any designated driver which is not impaired, or spend the night there itself.
