Windsor names new fire chief

The City of Windsor announced today that Deputy Chief Stephan Laforet will be taking over as the cities fire chief.

Current Chief Bruce Montone is staying in place until the official hand over which is to take place effective April 1, 2017.

Laforet has been a member of Windsor Fire and Rescue Services for more than 25 years.

He currently is a member of the Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs and the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs.
