Windsor is making its mark in the Canadian music scene.

Local blues-rock band The Blue Stones have earned a nomination in the Breakthrough Group of the Year category of the Juno Awards.

The duo released their debut album in 2018 and are due to release their sophomore album later this year. The group earned notoriety with their song “Rolling with the Punches” being featured on ESPN’s Monday Night Football, which earned them a deal with Entertainment One.

Their recently released single, “Shakin’ Off the Rust” has earned the top spot on Spotify’s Canada Rock playlist, just another accomplishment for the successful duo.

The Blue Stones hope to take home the hardware on March 15 at the Juno Awards, where they will sit alongside other Canadian artists like Alessia Cara, Shawn Mendes, Lennon Stella, and Scott Helman.
