Blackburn Radio’s Country 95.9FM and the Salvation Army are operating their first annual Windsor Wonderland Toy Drive.

They were asking people to bring in unwrapped toys for all age groups to the Best Western hotel on Riverside Drive.

Staff from the radio station and the Salvation Army collected the toys.

Eric Ethridge, a rising country star from Sarnia, stopped by to support the cause and play few songs.

This Friday morning was all about donating and making Christmas better for families and kids in need.

The Salvation Army food bank has helped 18,208 individuals this year. It also cares for 91 children at the Salvation Army Learning Corner, a child care centre.

Its slogan is “There is hope and it starts with you.”
