Work Week Wakeup contest surprising workers on Monday mornings
By Todd Shearon
There’s a new reason to wake up on Monday mornings and start the week in style.
But somebody needs to provide the coffee and doughnuts.
You could be the office hero and Blackburn Radio’s Mix 96.7fm could be of some assistance.
Listeners can visit the station’s website (mix967.ca) to register for a chance to win their Work Week Wakeup contest, which includes delivery of coffee and pastries to their workplace courtesy of Take Tim’s Catering.
“We always give the person who nominated themselves a heads up,” said Blackburn Radio marketing assistant Kelsey Coon. “It’s mostly a surprise for whoever else works there.”
The contest started a few weeks ago and will run for the duration of the year.
Coon says the station is also currently running volume three of their concert series where fans can enter for a chance to win a trip to Toronto to see Ed Sheeran perform a sold-out show at the Rogers Centre.
According to Coon, transportation is paid, including two nights at the Bond Place hotel and tickets to the concert.
“Anytime you hear Ed Sheeran on Mix 96.7, give us a call and you will instantly be qualified to win the trip,” said Coon.
It could definitely pay off to listen to 96.7 Monday through Friday between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.
