39-year-old arrested in Windsor bank in fraud investigation
On April 9, a man tried to buy a gold bar at a bank on Dougall Ave using a fake $100,000, bank draft. The bank employee was suspicious and asked them to come back later.
After confirming the draft was fake, the bank connected with Windsor Police.
On April 10, when the suspect returned, the business called police and the suspect was arrested.
David Yake, 39, faces charges for presenting a fake document, fraud over $5,000, and possessing fake identification.
