Perks of studying at the downtown campuses

If you are studying in one of the downtown campuses, there must have been that one instance where you would have wished to be at the main campus instead. We all have several reasons to think that be it a larger gym, cafeteria, crowd or just for the sake of being with your friends who go to the main campus.

But all of us need to realize the fact that there are far more benefits of being at the downtown campuses instead.

Here is a list of some of them below:

1.The evergreen mesmerizing view of the riverfront:

No matter how beautiful and big the main campus is, there is no competition for this million-dollar view of the riverfront that one gets from the downtown campuses. Have a gap between classes? Grab a cup of coffee and relax at the riverside to refresh your mind. The view is very therapeutic and you always get to see different colours of nature. You can go at any time during the day and will never be disappointed or bored. Also, it’s just a few steps away from all three campuses.

2. So many food places to choose from:

Forgot to bring your lunch and have got nothing to eat? Don’t worry you have got lots of options to choose from. Downtown has several options from Indian and Vietnamese food to the most popular pizza and burger places. Also, if you are a coffee person there are various decent cafeterias in downtown that you can visit after classes to have your coffee and study alongside. Plus so many of these places offer a 10 per cent student discount as well.

3. Windsor bus terminal:

One of the perks of being at the downtown campuses is that you have the bus terminal right across the street. So you don’t have to worry about running late for classes and going back home. You can go to any part of Windsor just by taking one of the buses from the terminal and there you go!

You can also catch a straight bus to Devonshire Mall from the terminal if you plan to go shopping after classes with your gang.

4. TD Student Centre:

It is really important to realize that the downtown campus offers so many courses and is always jam-packed with students, and usually it is difficult to find a seat in the computer lab. But there is a separate TD Student Centre only for the downtown students and the main campus students are not allowed to use it.

The downtown students can also book rooms to work on group assignments and activities in the TD Centre by making an appointment with SRC.

5. Caesars Windsor:

One of the most popular places in town, Caesars Windsor always has something to offer. If you are planning to hang out with your classmates after class or just want to do something interesting, Caesars is the place to be at. The entry is free so you do not have to worry about being broke and can still spend some good time with your mates.
