The Windsor Photographer who took an Iconic photo of the ambassador Bridge has an exhibition of his work at a local gallery.

On Nov. 9, Stanley Beatty, an international award-winning local photographer, showcased his exhibit to the public at the Walkerville Arts Collective.

One of Beatty’s photographs included the Ambassador Bridge low flying geese.

“It was the ambassador Bridge on an extremely foggy day,” said Beatty. “You can see geese flying underneath it, very mysterious that day all the fog. And for some reason I posted it on Facebook that day and it just went crazy.”

Beatty sold 250 large wall print copies of his photograph within six months.

“People just loved it because the Gordie Howe bridge was coming online,” said Beatty.

Charlotte Peters, a regular at the Walkerville Arts Collective, purchased one of Beatty’s prints.

“I absolutely love the Beatty’s concept, the print is for my kitchen a place I often spend time,” said Peters. “I see why the photo became viral.”

The city of Windsor has sold several photos with Beatty’s prized photograph on them. He has also donated a print of the photo to City Hall.

In addition to his exhibition, Beatty is involved in promoting 40 over 40 program, selecting 40 women show their passion, beauty, wisdom, spirit and win a very special photoshoot. Beatty said nominees can include moms, spouses or girlfriends.

The magazine, Spectacular Women, will publish the winners’ photo.
