Windsor holds a special meeting for Operating Budget

The City Council of Windsor held a special meeting considering Operating & Capital Recommended Budgets at 10 a.m. in City Hall Square, Windsor.  

As the last budget shows the increase in tax of 3.93 per cent. According to Mayor Drew Dilkens and the other city council members in today’s meeting they discussed the Transit Windsor 2024 Operating budget with Service Enhancements to create easy commutes for people.  

The operating budget also includes a 10-year Recommended Capital Budget comprising the budget for the sewage system for sewer surcharge and Solid Waste Authority for Windsor- Essex. 

In addition, they plan to enhance the architect and landscape for festival plaza, riverside. In compliance, members of city council will talk about Annual Reserve Fund Expenditure Plan & List of Donations and Bequests received in 2023.  

The report says for the special in-camera meeting or other committee as may be held prior to council.
